Wellness Afternoons for Women

Mindful Craft, Gentle Breath,
and Soothing Sound Bath

Take a break from the daily demands of life and step away from the busy, noisy digital world. Slow down, notice your body and mind, and enjoy time with other like-minded women. During the afternoon, you’ll be introduced to a variety of mindful practices and tools that can support your well-being.

What is a wellness afternoon?

A Wellness Afternoon combines a simple mindful craft activity, gentle breathwork, and a sound bath session, centred around a different well-being theme each month.

  • The afternoon begins with a brief introduction to the theme, an overview of the activities, and an opportunity to set a personal intention.

  • Next, you’ll enjoy a mindful craft activity designed to help you pause, disconnect from the outside world, and notice your own experience.

  • After crafting, I’ll guide you through a calming breath practice to prepare for the sound bath session.

  • Finally, you’ll experience the soothing sounds of singing bowls, gong, and other instruments. Everyone experiences sound differently — you may notice sensations, thoughts, or simply enjoy the moment of pause.

Note: You are welcome to remain seated on a chair for the breathwork and sound bath if you prefer not to lie on the floor.

What is guided breath?

Guided breath is a calming practice using gentle breathing techniques to invite your body and mind to pause and rest. Through simple, accessible patterns, you’ll be guided to slow down, notice your body, and create space within yourself.

Each technique is practiced mindfully and at a gentle pace, helping you to settle, feel more present, and explore a sense of ease. It’s a nurturing practice that encourages relaxation, gentle awareness, and mindful connection with your breath.

What is restorative yoga?

What is a sound bath?

A sound bath is a form of meditation that uses the gentle notes and vibrations of various instruments, such as singing bowls, gong, and chimes. During the session, you are invited to settle, notice the sounds and vibrations, and simply be present with your experience. Everyone experiences sound differently — some notice sensations, thoughts, or feelings, while others simply enjoy a moment of pause.
