Stress is a natural part of life. In small amounts it can even help us respond to challenges.
The difficulty can arise when we move from one stressful thing to the next without giving our body and mind the opportunity to pause, process what we've experienced, and let go of any accumulated tension.
This gentle session offers a nurturing space to pause, rest, reconnect with yourself and explore practices that encourage the nervous system to settle and support deep relaxation. You will also learn tools you can use in your everyday life to deal with stress effectively.
Is this session for you?
This session may be suitable if you:
-
feel tense, overwhelmed or mentally busy
-
find it difficult to switch off or fully relax
-
notice stress showing up in your body
-
are looking for a gentler, slower, floor based style of yoga
-
would like to try new practices to support your wellbeing

The experience

This is a slow, floor-based session. We'll remain close to the floor throughout the session, moving gently and mindfully, and then settling into stillness with bolsters and other props supporting the body. The emphasis is not on achieving poses, but on creating the conditions for the body to soften, the breath to settle and the mind to become more present.
During the session we'll explore:
-
Gentle, slow and mindful movement to release tension
-
Breathing practices to settle the nervous system
-
Simple mantra (repeating sounds) to quieten the mind
-
Restorative yoga with bolsters and props to encourage deep rest
-
Guided meditation and stillness to cultivate presence
Session is suitable for beginners. Everything is shown, variations and options are offered, and you are encouraged to do what feels right for you.
During the session we'll gently and quietly repeat a simple sounds together. No singing ability or previous experience is needed, and you're always welcome to simply listen if you prefer.
My intention is not simply to offer you an hour of relaxation, but to share practices that you can continue returning to beyond the session. Simple tools to help you pause, breathe, reconnect with yourself, be present and navigate life's challenges with a little more ease.
